Counting down...

Fifteen days until the big day. Wow…how time flies. The parents have been here for three weeks now. My brother and sister who have never been to America will be here in just four days!!! Planning is at its final stretch. We are almost done and that is very exciting. Looking forward to a vacation too.

Due to being so busy with the wedding it has been slow as far as freelance projects go, but staying very busy here at Hurco where I recently just had my two year anniversary. We are getting ready for our 9th Annual Technology Expo taking place here at our Indianapolis Headquarters on July 24th, 2009.

Exciting times!

The wedding is only 46 days away. The parents will be here in just 8! Amazing. We have lots of plans already. Looking forward to some vacation from work and spending some time with the parents whom I don’t get to see all that often considering that they live 5,862 miles away.

Angela is on a mission to have everything completed before schedule and so far see is cruising. She is truly and Angel. Yes she can drive me crazy some times but hey… who doesn’t?

I know this picture is so random but it is sort of an inside thing… “BOOFOOS” a type of owl in Greek.. but on my island…in means Smarty pants.. J

Back to work!

Working for Richmarc

For the past two years I have had the opportunity to do some freelance Graphic Design and Web Work for Richmarc Productions, a production company here in Indianapolis.

Rick Thompson who is an award winning director and producer with an enormous amount of experience in his field was kind enough to present to me several freelance projects including the Richmarc website.

Richmarc began as a film house, working in 35mm and 16mm film, and they bring those values and sensitivities to their work in HD.

In January 2009, Richmarc celebrated 10 years of HD production capabilities.
Today, Richmarc is the best-equipped, most experienced self-contained HD facility in the Midwest.

If you are looking for a “live action” High Definition production to market your product or service with TV ads, Documentaries, Video presentations You should definitely consider taking a closer look at Richmarc.

Basilios who? ...a short Bio

My full name is Basilios Konstantinos Dimitrelias. I was born in Indianapolis, March 22, 1981. My family moved from Indianapolis to Greece in 1983. I grew up on the island of Samos, where I attended school and helped my father make a living as a farmer.
Our island is famous for its grape vines and olive trees, so wine and olive oil are our main produce products.
In 1998, I graduated from the High School of Samos. I was 17 at that time and with the encouragement of my mother, I decided to move back to the United States to pursue a college education. In July of 1998, I returned to Indianapolis! Although it took me a while to get used to the cultural change and become more Americanized, I soon realized that this was the biggest and smartest decision I had made at this point of my life.
I began working part time for Conseco Companies in Carmel, and taking part times classes at IVY Tech State College. In 2001 I transferred to IUPUI and begun studying as a full time student as I continued working at Conseco part time.
In May 2005 I completed my studies and received my Bachelors degree in Computer Graphic Technology (CGT) from The Purdue School of Engineering at IUPUI.
In October of 2005 I left the States to join the Greek Army in order to maintain my Greek citizenship. I spent my first two months in basic training in central and northern Greece and seven months as a driver in a Field Artillery Battalion on my home island of Samos. In August 2006 I returned to the States to begin my professional career as a Graphic Designer.
My parents still live in our house on the island. My older sister moved back to Indianapolis in April 2005. My younger sister and brother have recently completed their studies in Athens and have begun their professional careers as well. My brother is a lieutenant in the Hellenic Police Force and my sister is a kindergarten teacher.
