Basilios who? ...a short Bio

My full name is Basilios Konstantinos Dimitrelias. I was born in Indianapolis, March 22, 1981. My family moved from Indianapolis to Greece in 1983. I grew up on the island of Samos, where I attended school and helped my father make a living as a farmer.
Our island is famous for its grape vines and olive trees, so wine and olive oil are our main produce products.
In 1998, I graduated from the High School of Samos. I was 17 at that time and with the encouragement of my mother, I decided to move back to the United States to pursue a college education. In July of 1998, I returned to Indianapolis! Although it took me a while to get used to the cultural change and become more Americanized, I soon realized that this was the biggest and smartest decision I had made at this point of my life.
I began working part time for Conseco Companies in Carmel, and taking part times classes at IVY Tech State College. In 2001 I transferred to IUPUI and begun studying as a full time student as I continued working at Conseco part time.
In May 2005 I completed my studies and received my Bachelors degree in Computer Graphic Technology (CGT) from The Purdue School of Engineering at IUPUI.
In October of 2005 I left the States to join the Greek Army in order to maintain my Greek citizenship. I spent my first two months in basic training in central and northern Greece and seven months as a driver in a Field Artillery Battalion on my home island of Samos. In August 2006 I returned to the States to begin my professional career as a Graphic Designer.
My parents still live in our house on the island. My older sister moved back to Indianapolis in April 2005. My younger sister and brother have recently completed their studies in Athens and have begun their professional careers as well. My brother is a lieutenant in the Hellenic Police Force and my sister is a kindergarten teacher.
